 MoU signed for Conservation

    MoU signed for conservation by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in 2005

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with

 following corporate houses in preserving and protecting the protected monuments of national and

international importance:

The Indian Hotels Company Limited ( Tata Group) for conservation of the Taj Mahal in Agra

bullet

Aga Khan Foundation and Oberoi Group of Hotels for the Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi

bullet

Apeejay Surendra Hotels for Jantar Mantar in Delhi,

bullet

Pune Municipal Corporation for Shaniwarwada in Pune.

ASI and the National Culture Fund together signed MoUs with The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC),

for conservation of following monuments:

bullet      Qutab Minar in Delhi,
bullet      Sun Temple in Konarak (Orissa),
bullet      Khajuraho group of monuments in Madhya Pradesh,
bullet      Kanheri caves in Maharashtra,
bullet      Hampi in Karnataka and
bullet      Warrangal Fort in Andhra Pradesh
